Scene 1: The Unexpected Arrival
Characters: Tom, Jerry, Lisa, Mark, Sarah, David, and Emily.
(The stage is set in a cozy living room with a coffee table, sofa, and a few chairs. Everyone is gathered for a game night.)
Tom: (enters the room with a bag of chips) Alright everyone, who's ready to lose?
Jerry: (sarcastically) Oh, I’m so excited to be humiliated again.
Lisa: (rolling her eyes) You two never stop bickering. Can’t we just play something fun?
Mark: (holding up a board game) How about this one? It’s called “Survival of the Dumbest.”
Sarah: (laughs) That sounds perfect! Let’s do it.
David: (nervously) Wait, what if I don’t understand the rules?
Emily: (grinning) Don’t worry, David. Just follow my lead. I’ve won every game we’ve played so far.
(Everyone starts setting up the game while arguing over who gets to go first.)
Tom: (pointing at the dice) I call it! Whoever rolls the highest number goes first.
Jerry: (cheating by peeking) Fine, but only if I get to roll twice.
Lisa: (interrupting) No way! We’re not playing your version of the game.
Mark: (calmly) Okay, let’s settle this like adults. Rock-paper-scissors?
Sarah: (smirking) Oh, come on. That’s too easy. Let’s flip a coin instead.
David: (confused) What’s a coin?
Emily: (patting him on the back) Don’t worry, sweetie. I’ll explain later.
(They finally agree on a system and begin playing. Chaos ensues as everyone tries to outsmart each other.)
Scene 2: The Great Betrayal
(Halfway through the game, tempers flare.)
Tom: (accusingly) Jerry, you totally cheated last round!
Jerry: (defensive) Did not! You’re just mad because you lost.
Lisa: (shouting) Enough! This isn’t even funny anymore.
Mark: (trying to mediate) Guys, maybe we should take a break?
Sarah: (nodding) Yeah, let’s order pizza. That always fixes everything.
David: (excitedly) Pizza?! Count me in!
Emily: (rolling her eyes) Of course you’d pick food over winning.
(As they pause the game to order pizza, Tom sneaks away to make a call.)
Tom: (whispering into the phone) Hey, buddy. I need a favor. Can you help me rig the game?
Voice on the phone: (muffled) Sure thing. What do you need?
Tom: (grinning) Just make sure Jerry loses big time. He’s been hogging all the glory lately.
(Back at the table, tensions rise as the pizza arrives.)
Jerry: (sniffing the box) Extra cheese?
Lisa: (sighing) Why am I not surprised?
Scene 3: The Final Showdown
(After much drama and laughter, the game reaches its climax.)
Mark: (pointing at the board) And that makes you the winner, Emily!
Emily: (gasping) Really? I can’t believe it!
Tom: (groaning) Not again!
Jerry: (mocking) Poor Tom. Always coming second best.
David: (clapping) Congratulations, Emily! You’re officially the queen of games.
Sarah: (raising her glass) To the queen!
(Everyone cheers as the lights dim, signaling the end of the night.)
