杨澜TED英语演讲稿】Good morning, everyone. It's an absolute pleasure to be here today, speaking to such a diverse and intelligent audience. I want to start by saying that I'm not here to give you a lecture or to share some grand theories about life. Instead, I'd like to take you on a journey — a personal one — through the experiences that have shaped my understanding of the world and the way I see myself in it.

When I was younger, I used to think that success was something you could achieve through hard work, discipline, and a clear plan. I believed that if you worked hard enough, you would eventually reach your goals. But as I grew older, I began to realize that success is not just about reaching the destination — it's also about how you get there, who you meet along the way, and what you learn from the people you encounter.

One of the most important lessons I've learned is that curiosity is more powerful than certainty. In my career, I've had the privilege of interviewing some of the most fascinating people in the world — from scientists to artists, from politicians to philosophers. Each conversation has taught me something new, not only about the person I'm speaking with, but also about myself. And I’ve come to believe that the most meaningful conversations are those where both parties are open to learning from each other.

I remember once interviewing a Nobel Prize winner, and he told me that the key to his success wasn’t just intelligence, but the ability to ask the right questions. That moment changed the way I approached my own work. I started to understand that being a good listener is just as important as being a good speaker. And perhaps even more importantly, it’s about being willing to step outside of your comfort zone and engage with ideas that challenge your own beliefs.

Another thing I’ve learned is that the world is far more complex than we often assume. We live in an age where information is abundant, but wisdom is rare. We are constantly bombarded with news, opinions, and perspectives, yet it’s becoming increasingly difficult to know what to believe. This is why I think it’s more important than ever to cultivate critical thinking, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.

In my travels around the world, I’ve seen how different cultures approach problems, how they celebrate life, and how they deal with adversity. These experiences have shown me that while we may come from different backgrounds, we all share the same fundamental desires: to be understood, to be valued, and to make a difference in the world.

So, what can we do? How can we contribute to a better future? I believe that each of us has a role to play. Whether it's through small acts of kindness, supporting causes that matter to us, or simply choosing to be more open-minded and compassionate, every action counts.

In conclusion, I want to leave you with this thought: The world is changing rapidly, and so are we. But no matter how fast the world moves, the most important thing is to stay true to yourself, to keep learning, and to never stop asking questions. Because in the end, it's not just about where you go, but about how you grow along the way.

Thank you.
