狐狸与刺猬
One day, a clever fox met a hedgehog in the forest. The fox was proud of his quick thinking and smooth words. He said to the hedgehog, “You are very small and not very smart. I can teach you how to live better.”
The hedgehog looked at the fox with calm eyes and said, “I don’t need your help. I may be small, but I have my own way of living.”
The fox laughed and said, “You are just too shy to learn. Come on, let’s play a game. If I win, you will follow me. If you win, I will listen to you.”
The hedgehog agreed. The fox suggested they run through the forest. The fox ran fast, but the hedgehog moved slowly. After a while, the fox stopped and said, “I won! Now you must follow me.” But the hedgehog said, “No, I didn’t lose. I just chose to go my own way.”
The fox was surprised. He had never met an animal who didn’t want to follow him. He asked, “Why didn’t you try harder?”
The hedgehog replied, “Because I know my strength. I may not be fast, but I have something you don’t — my own path.”
From that day on, the fox respected the hedgehog. He learned that being different doesn’t mean being weak.
