Today, I will report on the state of our nation and outline the actions we must take in the coming year.

Over the past year, our country has faced many challenges. The effects of the global financial crisis continue to be felt, unemployment remains high, and economic growth is slow. Yet, we have also made important progress. We are working to restore economic vitality, promote innovation, improve education, and ensure that every American has a fair shot at success.

We have taken a number of steps to create jobs, including investing in infrastructure, supporting small businesses, and encouraging clean energy development. At the same time, we are committed to improving our healthcare system so that more people can afford basic medical care.

In foreign affairs, we emphasize cooperation with our allies and the pursuit of global peace and security. We are also working to address climate change and find sustainable solutions for the future.
